Trolls or troll-folk are descendants of the citizens of the city of Bergolast. That their ancestors ate of the flesh of the Tarrasque has given them bodies like “those of the gods that can heal most any injury” - they can regenerate but are vulnerable to acid and fire. They are “hideous to behold” and are mostly ignorant of their heritage, though some customs survive.
Those who eat of a troll’s flesh might find themselves changed by the experience.
