Are the druids priests or mages, or something else again? It is not clear.
Druids
- Druids serve all official functions in the city of Ninbolm.
- The Ancient Gardener, the Hierophant Amelar the Immaculate, is an elf druid. She has a vast store of knowledge. Those of any race who show wisdom or a connection to growing things are sometimes mentored by her.
- Militant druids are aligned with the Holt of the Bloodied King.
- The Priest of the Lake is a druid who owns a Gorean Grey (37.01). He stalks around a tree holding a bloodied iron in hand. His successor must kill him to take his place.
- A druid is kept in Skullreach. He is capable of, but refuses to, cast spells. He fell in love with a dryad who gave up her tree to make a didgeridoo. Udenyr plans to use the didgeridoo to summon Old Leviathan.
Powers
- The Hierophant of Ninbolm long ago merged with the petrified heartwood of the giant tree into which the city of Ninbolm is carved. He knows everything that happens in the city, but can only focus on a few things at a time.
- Druids in Ninbolm communicate with the Hierophant through giant snail familiars clinging to the heartwood.
- The Ancient Gardener can step into the ground to escape attack. She can return the dead to life, though not in their original form.
- Druids by the Ocean of Bitter Regrets cut sequoias to craft giant didgeridoos to call whales from the depths so they can hear the Dreamsong with their own ears.
- The Yrumps, halfling druids, raised a network of earthen roads in Yrump Marsh (26.19) for ceremonial purposes.
