This mountainous region was once home to another Witch Clan, a family known as the Wrannows. The Wrannows had special ropes that when thrown into the air would lead to an extra-dimensional space.
Rumour has it that they could also travel from one hidden house to another without ever climbing down.
While they were encamped at this spot, they were wiped out.
No ropes survive in this area - they were all either pulled up or cut down by the Wrannows’ enemies. However, if a magic-user were to bring a rope of their own, it might be possible to climb up into the hidden village, which is presumably deserted.
